Berlin is a very diverse city with lots of exclusive bars and restaurants in the Savigny-Platz in Charlottenburg where many of the city's celebrities are often found. Another upmarket area is around Gendarmenmarkt where most of the city's trendiest bars are found. For a more lively and young crowd, head to the Pariser Strabe part of town where you'll find lots of taverns, bars and nightclubs. Bar life is very cultured in Berlin with cocktail bars often more overflowing than the beer gardens. The majority of bars in Berlin kick off after 10pm. The club scene in Berlin is legendary and unique and well worth a visit.
